Manufacturing & Custom Order Process
From Initial Inquiry to Final Delivery
At Anderson Teak, we make the custom furniture ordering process simple, transparent, and efficient. From initial consultation and product specifications to manufacturing, quality control, and final delivery, our team works closely with you to ensure your furniture meets your design requirements and quality expectations.
Step 1 – Initial Inquiry & Project Consultation
Share your project requirements with our team, including:
• Furniture type, design, and quantity
• Dimensions and specifications
• Preferred materials, finishes, and colors
• Reference photos, sketches, or architectural drawings
• Delivery location and desired completion date
Our team will review your requirements and discuss available manufacturing options.
Step 2 – Design Review & Technical Specifications
Our manufacturing team evaluates the design for feasibility, structural integrity, materials, and production requirements.
For custom furniture, we may provide shop drawings, technical specifications, material recommendations, or design adjustments for your review.
Step 3 – Quotation & Lead Time
Once the specifications are established, Anderson Teak will prepare a detailed quotation outlining:
• Product descriptions and quantities
• Dimensions and materials
• Finishes and customization options
• Unit pricing and total project cost
• Estimated production lead time
• Shipping and delivery arrangements
• Payment terms
Any applicable freight charges, taxes, tariffs, or additional services will be identified in the quotation or order agreement.
Step 4 – Order Confirmation & Deposit
Upon approval of the quotation, we will issue a Sales Order or Proforma Invoice.
• A 50% deposit is required to confirm a custom manufacturing order, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Production scheduling begins once the deposit and all required design approvals have been received.
Step 5 – Shop Drawing & Sample Approval (If Applicable)
For custom designs or larger commercial projects, we may provide final shop drawings, finish samples, material samples, or a prototype for approval.
Production will proceed according to the approved specifications.
Any design changes requested after approval may affect pricing and lead time.
Step 6 – Manufacturing & Production
Our manufacturing partners in Indonesia begin production using the approved materials and specifications.
Depending on the product, manufacturing may include:
• Material selection and preparation
• Wood machining and joinery
• Frame fabrication and welding
• Furniture assembly
• Sanding and surface finishing
• Cushion fabrication and upholstery
• Hardware installation
Typical production lead time: approximately 8 weeks, depending on product complexity, order volume, material availability, and factory scheduling.
Step 7 – Quality Control & Final Inspection
Our Quality Control team conducts inspections throughout the manufacturing process and before shipment.
Inspections include:
• Material quality and workmanship
• Dimensions and structural integrity
• Color and finish consistency
• Assembly and functionality
• Hardware and accessories
• Overall product appearance
Any identified manufacturing defects must be corrected before final approval for shipment.
Step 8 – Packaging & Shipment Preparation
After final inspection, the furniture is carefully packed to help protect it during transportation.
Our team verifies product quantities, packaging labels, hardware, and shipping documentation before dispatch.
Step 9 – International Shipping & Customs Clearance
For products manufactured overseas, furniture is shipped from Indonesia to the United States.
Ocean freight, customs clearance, and domestic transportation are coordinated according to the agreed shipping terms.
Estimated ocean transit: approximately 7–8 weeks, subject to vessel schedules, port conditions, customs processing, and other logistical factors.
Step 10 – Final Payment & Delivery
The remaining 50% balance is due before shipment, unless alternative payment terms have been agreed upon in writing.
Once the order is ready for delivery, our team will coordinate the applicable shipping method, such as LTL freight, full truckload, or project-specific delivery services.
Delivery arrangements may include curbside delivery or other services specified in the quotation.
Step 11 – After-Sales Support
Our commitment continues after delivery.
If you have questions regarding assembly, product care, replacement components, or warranty coverage, our customer service team is available to assist.
Any damage or discrepancies should be reported promptly, with supporting photographs and delivery documentation.
